Vidhya Koka, M.D.

Attending physician, Vidhya Koka, MD, has been caring for both adults and pediatrics since 1997.  Dr. Koka’s goal is to provide compassionate medical care to all of her patients in her new 5,000 square foot medical suite in the new San Jacinto Valley Medical Center. She has also shown a special interest in providing medical care for women’s health.  Dr. Koka has been a featured speaker addressing issues related to women’s health.  Dr. Koka is a graduate of Eastern Virginia Medical School with residency at UCI Medical Center Irvine.  Dr. Koka was an academic scholar.  She is the current Chairperson for Continued Medical Education and vice-chairperson of the Family Practice Department of Hemet Valley Medical Center.  She is the past chairperson for the Utilization Management at Mulliken Medical Center and the past medical director at Downey Medical and Urgent Care.  She states she is deeply touched by the love and compassion shown to her and her family by the residents of the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley and surrounding areas and feels very grateful for the opportunity to provide quality medical care for the community.  Dr. Koka and her husband along with their two children reside in Hemet.

   

David Emery, PA-C

David Emery is a Physician Assistant working with Dr. V. Koka at the San Jacinto Medical Clinic.  He is the assigned Urgent Care provider for the office and brings over 25 years of clinical experience with him.  Mr. Emery received his PA training at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine program, graduating in 1982.

Mr. Emery currently is an active member of the California Air National Guard where he serves also as a Physician Assistant.  He has deployed to various sites around the world on humanitarian missions, most notably Kiev, Ukraine and Cobija, Columbia.  He has traveled to Alaska, Michigan, Texas, Florida, Indiana, Virginia, New York, Vermont and Wisconsin on various missions during his more than 20 years of service with the Air Guard.

As a PA Mr. Emery has developed skills in Urgent Care by working in a number of emergency rooms, urgent care and occupational clinics during his career.  He has been a certified audiology technician, a certified pulmonary test technician and a certified breath alcohol technician.  He is versed in all aspects of Worker’s Compensation injuries as well as modified duty assignments. 

Mr. Emery has lived in California for 28 of the last 31 years.  His hobby is coin collecting.  He is an avid Boston Red Sox fan, having followed the team for 41 years.
