SJ Medical Group is seeking dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistants to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant at SJ Medical Group, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to healthcare professionals and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

1. Patient care and assessment: Escort patients to examination rooms, obtain and record vital signs, and assist in patient assessment under the direction of healthcare providers.

2. Medical procedures and treatments: Prepare patients for procedures, administer injections and medications as instructed, and assist with minor surgical procedures.

3. Patient education and communication: Provide patients with instructions on medication usage, test preparations, and general healthcare information, ensuring their understanding and addressing any concerns.

4. Record-keeping and documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, vital signs, test results, and treatment information, using electronic medical record systems.

5. Equipment and supplies management: Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies, sterilize instruments, and ensure the cleanliness and organization of the medical environment.

6. Laboratory and diagnostic testing: Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, perform basic laboratory tests, and assist in the coordination of diagnostic procedures.

7. Administrative support: Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, assist with patient registration, and manage medical records, ensuring efficient office operations.

8. Collaborative teamwork: Work closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure smooth workflow, effective patient care coordination, and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent education.

2. Completion of a Medical Assistant training program from an accredited institution.

3. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred but not required.

4. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, infection control procedures, and basic medical procedures.

5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare teams.

6. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

7. Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and basic computer skills.

8. Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
