DO - Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine

SJ Medical Group is actively seeking compassionate and highly skilled Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) to join our prestigious healthcare team. As a DO at SJ Medical Group, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive medical care, emphasizing a holistic and patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities:

  1. Patient assessment and treatment: Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.

  2. Develop and implement treatment plans: Utilize osteopathic principles and evidence-based medicine to develop personalized treatment plans that consider the patient's physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

  3. Perform medical procedures: Conduct minor surgeries, administer injections, perform osteopathic manipulative treatments, and provide other specialized medical procedures as required.

  4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: Work closely with nurses, specialists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and coordinated patient care.

  5. Educate and counsel patients: Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive healthcare measures to patients, empowering them to actively participate in their own well-being.

  6. Maintain accurate medical records: Document patient encounters, medical findings, diagnoses, treatments, and prescriptions in electronic medical records, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

  7. Continuous professional development: Stay updated with current medical research, advancements, and best practices by participating in continuing medical education, conferences, and professional development activities.

  8. Adhere to medical standards and regulations: Comply with applicable medical regulations, guidelines, and ethical principles to provide safe and quality healthcare services.

Qualifications:

  1. Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.

  2. Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice as a DO in California.

  3. Board certification or eligibility in a specific medical specialty.

  4. Demonstrated clinical competence and knowledge in the respective medical specialty.

  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare teams.

  6. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities in complex medical situations.

  7. Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage patient records and documentation.

  8. Commitment to providing patient-centered care with a focus on compassion, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
